Of course God hears you! But then you’re asking a guy who has created an entire website about communicating with God… I have to say yes! And I really believe it!
Let me try to explain:
First a word from Isaiah:
Isaiah 59:1-2
Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. (KJV)
This scripture makes it clear that it is your stuff that has hidden God’s face and blocked God’s ear. Not that you have changed God – not at all. God remains forever as He is – the I am that I am.
Your stuff created the illusion for you that God cannot help you or hear you.
What exactly is this stuff that’s creating this problem? Isaiah has the answer for that question as well:
Isaiah 59:7
Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. (KJV)
The stuff that creates the illusion that God cannot help or hear is your thoughts. Thoughts of God that aren’t reality. Thoughts of yourself that aren’t reality. Thoughts of all types that aren’t in alignmnet with the truth. (we’ll get to that in a moment)
You may not have realized that you entertain thoughts of iniquity – or you may feel that your mind is full of them – either way, we all entertain thoughts that don’t serve us – thoughts that aren’t truth, thoughts of iniquity.
I’m going to suggest that every thought we entertain that describes God as limited or less than He is – is a thought of iniquity.
If you think “God can’t or won’t hear me” – you kind of sense in your soul that it’s not true right? Yet in our state of fear and doubt we sometimes entertain thoughts like that – maybe all the time.
Believe me – that kind of thinking is less than worthless – and it’s iniquity. It separates between you and God – and it’s all your stuff. God didn’t think the thought, didn’t give it to you – in fact God’s reaching out to you to prove otherwise. You can’t see or hear Him because of your own thoughts. Your thoughts create the walls around you that keep you stuck where you are.
This is sounding way to negative and depressing – practically like a rant – but then so does Isaiah chapter 59 – anyway, let’s move on to something more positive.
Let’s go to John 17:
John 17:20-22
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: (KJV)
What does it do for you to know that Jesus prayed for you? How does that fit with your thoughts of God?
I want to draw your attention in particular to these words of Jesus: “that they may be one, even as we are one”.
You and I are one with Jesus and the Father. This isn’t something that suddenly occurs when you believe – it is the eternal truth of who you are. True belief in Jesus simply brings this truth into your awareness. If you haven’t been aware of this truth it is because of some of those afore mentioned thoughts.
Awareness of this truth of oneness grows as we seek God and invest time in His presence communicating with Him and hearing His voice.
So does God hear you? Absolutely! As you are one with God, it is impossible for God not to hear you.
There is plenty of teaching out there that would argue with me. I’m aware of it and have taught in the past. That was before I exchanged a belief in religious systems for a belief in Christ. There is a huge difference!
I’m not here to argue with anyone. I do however challenge you to examine your thoughts about God, yourself and your world. Are they reflective of the truth that Jesus taught? Are they thoughts of love, peace, joy etc that are growing you into greater awareness of your oneness with God?
If not they’re not serving you. You may even wish to repent of those thoughts. Read some thoughts on forgiveness and repentance.

Well Done, Robert!
We’re right on the money about the illusory experience we engender with our minds, thus creating a false identity as to who we are and who God is to us.
I dare to extend your argument to encompass the REASON why we doubt or fear that God is not hearing us. The matter is one of control. With our thoughts come two things in particular: one is familiarity (what is already known), the other is influence. In our mental world, we are familar with these thoughts (good or bad), and we falsely believe that we control we think or do for that matter…over looking the addiction or despair in our lives.
When we deal with God, on true terms, there is no BS or faking it. We deal in hard, steadfast reality. This can be completely foreign, uncomfortable, scary, and even painful ! ! Oh my!
But, what we suffer now is only slight to what we enjoy and celebrate afterwards! There is purpose in our lives. We attempt to control, because we fear what we cannot control. And, when we come across a thing that proves uncontrollable that causes us to see God in a difficult light. For prayer to be effective, TRUST is required. An actual letting go of your control…it goes as far as letting go of your very life! (to save it)
So let go to let God in! Pray in Trust. Believe in faith. Live by Love!
Well stated General!
And I like that last thought – letting go of your life to save it.
Mark 8:35
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
(KJV)
Amen – Thanks for sharing.
Robert
Wow! You both make quite the pair!
Yes, of course GOD hears us. Why would HE create us and then just abandon us? He counts the hairs on our head and inscribes us in the Palm of His Hand. Therefore it makes sense that HE is very interested in us and our Lives. Thus HE is always waiting expectantly for us to go to HIM and to talk with HIM!
So why don’t we?
Let us begin now……!!!!!!
GLORY ALLELUIA!
